DimensionU’s TowerStorm for Math and Literacy is an engaging multiplayer game designed for students ranging from Elementary to High School levels. The application, with a focus on competition, offers real-time challenges to enhance proficiency in over 400 Math and Literacy Skills aligned with State & Common Core standards, catering to grades 2 – 10.
Upon installation, users are prompted to log in using their DimensionU account details. The game incorporates embedded instructional aids and tutorials accessible via a simple tap on the query icon for guidance, functioning akin to an integrated tutor.
One of its notable features includes the ability for each player to tailor their skill practice while engaging in competitive play with others working on distinct skills, levels, or subjects. Points are accumulated through correct responses to questions, with the opportunity to earn bonuses by combining accuracy with adept gaming strategies. These points are converted into DimensionU Tokens (DUTs) automatically, which can be utilized to acquire in-game Power-Ups or customize avatars.
Feedback mechanism includes a comprehensive review of incorrectly answered questions for student evaluation and learning. Additionally, educators have the option to leverage the Teachers by DimensionU app to create customized TowerStorm game rooms conducive for team-oriented gameplay within the classroom environment.
